[September 12, 2001] After successfully
releasing the world's first conformance tester for Bluetooth,
namely the BlueTester for Conformance, IVT announced today that it
is now delivering the world's first profile interoperability
tester for Bluetooth, namely BlueTester for Interoperability.
Also, IVT has been invited to do a presentation on the
"Principle of Profile Interoperability Testing" at the upcoming
Bluetooth Developer Conference in December 2001.
The IVT BlueTester is developed based on the latest Bluetooth
Test Specifications for conformance and interoperability testing.
BlueTester for Interoperability is focusing on addressing the
critical issue of profile interoperability which is critical to
the success of the Bluetooth industry.
BlueTester for Interoperability contains a full implementation
of each profile based on the Bluetooth Profile Specification.
Furthermore, it implements all the test cases specified in the
Bluetooth Test Specification; it has analytical power to
understand and identify failures if any; and it can also generate
complete and detailed test reports in MS Word and Excel format
automatically for official Bluetooth qualification.
The first release of BlueTester for Interoperability consists
of the following profile interoperability testers:
Dial-Up Profile Interoperability Tester
LAN Access Profile
Interoperability Tester
FAX Profile Interoperability
Tester
File Transfer Profile Interoperability Tester
Service
Discovery Profile Interoperability Tester
In the near future, IVT will release interoperability testers
for other profiles such as the printer, PAN, headset, cordless
phone, and Intercom profiles.
