June 3, 2002, on Computex in Taipei, IVT
announces the release of BlueSoleil, a Bluetooth device manager
for Windows. BlueSoleil has been designed with the end user in
mind. It is very clear and concise in its presentation. BlueSoleil
very clearly displays all devices within range with creative
graphics and offers simple single or double click configuration of
devices. BlueSoleil takes the complications out of creating
Bluetooth connections and adds some fun and creativity. BlueSoleil
supports several official Bluetooth profiles including DUN, LAP,
FTP, GAP, HCRP, HID, PAN, SDAP, SYN, SPP, and OPP. IVT will add
other Bluetooth profiles in the near future. This new release
supports multiple Bluetooth chips and interfaces such UART, USB,
PCMCIA, and Compact Flash.
BlueSoleil incorporates a graphical image of a sun
(representing the host device), orbited by other devices
(represented by graphics which portray the type of device
discovered such as PDA device, desktop, printer, notebook etc.). A
dark blue space-like background creates a sense of depth and
intrigue. "BlueSoleil is created to be fun, simple and convenient,
aiming at providing the end users an enjoyable game-like
atmosphere when connecting Bluetooth devices," said Dr. Qiang Gao,
CEO of IVT. BlueSoleil will also be exhibited at the Bluetooth
Congress in Amsterdam, June 12-14, 2002 on IVT's booth.
