IVT Analyzer Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the PAUSE function and the STOP function?

After PAUSEING the application, the received data packets will be saved in the buffer and be analyzed in the next run.

After STOPPING the application, the whole receiving process will be stopped and the received data packets will be discarded.

Why sometimes the Bluetooth transmission is over while the BlueAnalyser is still tracing data?

Sometimes the data transmission is too fast and the data packets are too many to be shown in the window immediately, the program will store the unprocessed data in the buffer. Please wait a while to let the BlueAnalyzer finish the whole analyzing work.

When can users clean the traced data?

Users can clean the traced data and messages only when the application is paused or stopped.

What's the meaning of the capital letters on the toolbar?

The capital letters on the toolbar represent different protocols respectively. Users can choose which protocol data will be traced or not by pushing the capital letters up or down.

Why sometimes the first messages in the MSC cannot be shown even when the vertical scrollbar is in the up-most position?

Continue clicking the up arrow of the scrollbar, the hide messages will be shown in the view. This is cause by too many messages to be shown in the view. To avoid this, clear or save the traced messages before they become too many.

How and where can I save the analyzed data before clearing them?

Choose the "Save" menu to save the traced data in a file named "result.bla" in the installation directory of the BlueAnalyzer or choose the "Save as" menu to save the file in any location with the extension name ".bla". The ".bla" file can be open with BlueAnalyzer including the output data and the MSC chart when the BlueAnalyzer stops tracing and clears the traced data.
